UF/IFAS Extension · Three regional calendars

One Florida.
Three growing rhythms.

Choose the region that fits your garden. The Florida Vegetable Gardening Guide separates its planting windows using State Roads 40 and 70, so a single statewide calendar would miss important context.

Months stay months

The calendars preserve the source’s month intervals and early, mid, and late qualifiers. A September–March window wraps across the new year. We do not assign exact dates to broad month labels.

Outdoor planting, not a seed-starting schedule

The source’s regional date columns do not separately distinguish direct sowing and transplanting. These calendars therefore label the windows as outdoor planting, without creating separate schedules the table does not provide.

Ambiguous entries stay out of the calendar

Two North Florida entries, cauliflower and cucumbers, have unresolved source-cell wording. Their planting windows are withheld rather than repaired by guesswork. The reviewed Central and South Florida entries remain available.
